Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Quail Rd near Bright Star Dr

Albuquerque, NM (July 9, 2023) – Police in Albuquerque are currently investigating the details of a fatal pedestrian collision that happened early on Wednesday, July 5. APD says the incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. 

Reports show a black sedan was headed south on Bright Star Drive when it collided with a pedestrian near Quail Drive. Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. They lost their life a short time later.

The driver of the sedan fled the scene without stopping to render aid, sources said. At this time, it remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in connection with the accident.
