Albuquerque, NM (April 4, 2023) – A car crash that occurred on Interstate 40 in the city of Albuquerque left at least one person hurt, according to reports. The collision happened at around 3:46 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, April 2nd.
According to authorities with the Albuquerque Police Department, two or more vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the interstate near Carlisle Boulevard. Emergency responders, including police, EMTs, and firefighters, were called to the scene to provide critical assistance and secure the crash site.
Those involved in the accident were helped at the scene by responding paramedics while officials assessed the damage. All victims who were determined to be in need of further care were transferred to local hospitals as needed.
Reports have not specified the extent of the injuries that were suffered by the victims involved. No additional details are available at this time.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the APD.
