Albuquerque, NM (November 21, 2021) – On Saturday, November 20, a multi-vehicle crash in the Albuquerque area resulted in one death and multiple injuries. At around 7 p.m., a fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Morris Street NE and Montgomery Boulevard NE.

Casino Salazar, 19, was reported to be speeding on Montgomery Boulevard when he collided with an SUV making a left turn onto Morris Street, according to reports. The driver of the SUV died as a result of the collision.

Salazar and the SUV’s four passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. He was charged with negligent use of a firearm and an open container violation, according to reports. Salazar was charged with driving while intoxicated after allegedly being involved in a collision earlier this week.

An accident investigation is currently underway.
