Albuquerque, NM (July 14, 2023) – At around 10:00 a.m. on July 12, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department received notification that their assistance was needed alongside firefighters at the scene of an automobile accident.
Local news sources indicate that a collision blocked the westbound side of Interstate 40 near Eubank Boulevard Northeast. Police responded to the scene and shut down several lanes on the interstate with the assistance of area firefighters.
Emergency medical services were notified that they were needed at the scene of the crash to provide assistance. It is unknown how many people were injured as a result of the accident. At least one person ended up being transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
Investigations are underway by the Albuquerque Police Department.
