Albuquerque, NM (September 24, 2021) – On Friday afternoon, September 24th, a two-car accident with injuries was reported in the city of Albuquerque. It happened on Interstate 40, just west Exit 159D to University Boulevard at about 2:50 p.m.

According to local authorities, the vehicles involved collided for unknown reasons in the westbound lanes of the interstate. The impact of the collision resulted in serious damages to the vehicles involved.

EMTs arrived at the scene where all wounded parties received immediate medical attention. Their conditions have not been updated at this time.

At least one person was hospitalized but few details have been reported. Traffic was slowed to crawl back to Washington Street while crews worked at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the events that led to the crash.
