Albuquerque, NM (February 15, 2023) – On Monday afternoon, February 13th, at approximately 12:05 p.m., law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene of a car accident with injuries in the city of Albuquerque. The incident was reported by the Albuquerque Fire Department in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40.
According to officials, the vehicles involved collided along the Interstate after entering the area near 12th Street. Emergency dispatchers received a call concerning the collision and immediately sent police, firefighters, and paramedics to the scene.
Emergency crews secured the area and worked to assess the damages as EMTs assisted the occupants of the vehicles involved in the crash. Those who were injured were transported to nearby medical facilities for further treatment as needed. Their current conditions have not been verified.
Authorities with the APD are actively conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident. At this time, no further details have been reported.
