Albuquerque, NM (March 1, 2023) – Central Avenue, in the vicinity of Eubank Boulevard, was closed down following a fatal auto-pedestrian collision in the city of Albuquerque. According to reports, the deadly incident took place on Wednesday morning, March 1st.
Official reports show that police received a call concerning a person down in the roadway at approximately 5:30 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they were able to determine that the victim had been struck by a motor vehicle that fled the area after the collision.
Emergency responders were notified of the crash and responded to provide assistance. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Neither the identity of the victim nor any information concerning the driver of the vehicle involved has been reported.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
