Albuquerque, NM (March 29, 2023) – Authorities with the Albuquerque Police Department say that one person tragically lost their life in an apartment fire that occurred on Tuesday morning, March 28th. The fatal incident was reported on Utah Street NE in the city of Albuquerque.
According to official reports, a multi-level apartment in the 400 block of the roadway caught fire for unknown reasons, resulting in the presence of Albuquerque Fire Rescue personnel. Units arrived at the scene, where they located the fire and heavy smoke conditions.
After gaining control of the flames, crews with the AFR located one person deceased inside their apartment. No other injuries were reported.
