Alexandria, VA – Car Crash with Injuries Reported on I-395

Alexandria, VA (July 19, 2023) – A crash took place in the Alexandria area that prompted the response of law enforcement officers on Wednesday morning, July 19.

At around 12:44 a.m., the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department assisted officers with the Virginia State Police at the scene of a crash on Interstate 395.

Reports show that a crash between vehicles blocked all of the HOV northbound lanes near the ramp on the roadway. The incident prompted authorities to remain on-site for nearly one hour as they provided assistance with clearing the road.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated by VSP.
