Arlington, VA (March 4, 2023) – At around 5:00 p.m. on March 3, the Arlington Police Department and firefighters were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on South Hayes Street.
According to officials, a collision between vehicles blocked the eastbound side of South Hayes Street during the early evening hours. Authorities arrived at the scene and blocked off multiple lanes in the area of 18th Street South.
Firefighters and police worked quickly to reopen the roadway by removing the damaged vehicles and debris from the active lanes of travel.
At least one person was injured in the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital.
The Arlington Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
