Arlington, VA – One Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Abram St near Fielder Rd

Arlington, VA (February 1, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway in Arlington on the night of Saturday, January 30. One man lost his life after being struck by a tanker truck on Abram Street near Fielder Road.

Reports indicate that a man was involved in a fistfight on the sidewalk when he lost his balance and fell into the roadway, into the direct path of the tanker truck. The tanker truck’s driver stopped to check on the man, and then left the scene of the crash before authorities arrived.

The driver then returned to the scene to speak with authorities concerning the collision, shortly after it took place. No charges are currently pending against the driver, though Arlington police and the District Attorney are currently consulting concerning the incident.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene in order to render emergency aid to the injured party, who has not been identified at this time. He was transported to an area hospital and later died due to his injuries.
