Athens, GA ( July 24, 2023) – A tragic crash resulted in the death of a 29-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023.

The incident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Avenue and Northside Drive, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police.

The crash involved a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, which turned left onto North Avenue from Northside Drive.

Unfortunately, it collided with a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle traveling south on Northside Drive during the turn.

The impact of the collision proved fatal for the motorcycle rider, identified as Kody Kuckuck from Athens.

He tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident.

The current status of the Toyota Tacoma driver involved in the crash is unknown.

The Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating the incident to determine the cause and circumstances that led to the collision.

Further details surrounding the crash have not been released at this time.
