Athens, GA (January 16, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, on January 15, 2023, a University of Georgia football player and university staff member were in a fatal crash in Athens Georgia.
Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy were in a Ford Expedition heading south on Barnett Shoals Road around 3:00 am when the driver drove into a couple of power poles, followed by a few trees. Emergency responders arrived quickly to the accident.
Willock died at the scene, while LeCroy was transported to the hospital, where they later died because of sustained injuries.
