Atlanta, GA (April 4, 2022) – A 15-year-old girl lost her life, and three others were hurt in an auto accident in Austell. The wreck happened on March 29 at approximately 8:31 p.m.
Cobb County Police reported that a red 2017 Nissan Maxima was headed south on Warren Drive as it approached an intersection. As the Nissan attempted to take a right curve, the driver, identified as a 16-year-old girl, lost control of the vehicle.
The Nissan rotated clockwise before stopping in a nearby front yard after colliding with a tree stump. The teenage driver and all three of her passengers, ages 15, 16, and 17, were all taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The 15-year-old male driver succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Police in Atlanta continues to investigate the details of the wreck.
