Atlanta, GA (March 17, 2023) – Officers with the Atlanta Police Department reported to the scene of an accident with an overturned vehicle and several injuries on Thursday, March 16.
According to a Georgia Department of Transportation alert, emergency responders arrived at the collision location near Highway 317 and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.
Authorities say I-85 northbound traffic was backed up before the transition ramp split.
On the site, emergency medical professionals administered the required treatment to the injured. Shortly thereafter, ambulances took patients requiring extra care to local medical facilities.
The APD is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. As new information becomes available, it will be made public.
