Atlanta, GA – School Bus Crash Injures Three People on Hamilton Mill Rd near Bart Johnson Rd

Atlanta, GA (January 6, 2023) – A school bus accident closed a roadway in Gwinnett County and left three people with injuries. Gwinnett County Police reported the incident at around 7:20 a.m. on January 6.

Officers stated no children were on the bus, however, the incident was referred to as a ‘serious injury crash’ that left two people in critical condition. At this time, no one involved has been identified as authorities continue to investigate. 

It was confirmed to be one of Gwinnett County Public School’s buses. The driver was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. 

Hamilton Mill Road was closed while emergency crews worked at the scene. North Bogan and Bart Johnson Roads were used as alternate routes.
