Atlanta, GA (May 19, 2023) – Part of Interstate 75 in Cobb County was closed due to an incident involving several drivers on Friday afternoon, May 19.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 at the interchange of I-575 at about 1:30 p.m. A motorhome and what appeared to be a Jeep were both involved in the collision.
Photos released by police in Cobb County showed traffic at a standstill while local and state authorities, including area paramedics, responded to the accident. Authorities did not release details about the number of injuries, the current status of those involved, or what caused the incident.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time, but officers with the Atlanta Police Department plan to release further details over the next week.
