Augusta, GA (September 15, 2023) – A car crash occurred on Broad Street at Crawford Avenue on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 8:52 a.m.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed the fatality of Amanda Latara Hurst, 37.  The other driver was taken to the hospital and was released.

Emergency responders rushed Hurst from the crash site to Augusta University Hospital Medical Center.

Coroner Mark Bowen provided details regarding the incident.

It is unclear at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role in this accident. The investigation is still ongoing.
