Augusta, ME – Man Severely Injured in I-95 Pickup Crash Near Exit 113

Augusta, ME (February 27, 2024) – A Newcastle man faces life-threatening injuries after his pickup veered off I-95’s northbound lanes and collided with a tree on Tuesday, February 27. The accident, occurring just before 7:30 a.m. near Exit 113, was among roughly 20 crashes spurred by a snow squall that morning. While central Maine saw several collisions, a tractor-trailer fire on I-95 did not result in injuries.

Maine State Police, alerted to the incident, provided immediate assistance. The injured driver received urgent care, highlighting the squall’s hazardous impact on road safety.

Investigations into the crash are actively proceeding.
