Aurora Twp, MN (October 14, 2024) – A vehicle collision resulting in injuries occurred on October 12 at approximately 9:28 PM at the intersection of Highway 218 and Bixby Lane in Steele County. Emergency responders were alerted to the scene following reports of the incident, which involved two vehicles traveling southbound on Highway 218.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2015 GMC Terrain, driven by 52-year-old Molly Therese Mitchell from Spring Valley, made contact with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 42-year-old Miranda Adriana Grieger from Owatonna. The collision resulted in the deployment of airbags in the GMC Terrain, while the Jeep Wrangler's airbags did not deploy.
Molly Mitchell sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Owatonna Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, and there was no indication of alcohol involvement. Miranda Grieger, the driver of the Jeep, reported no injuries and did not require medical attention. She was also wearing her seat belt. Additionally, a passenger in the Jeep, 37-year-old Matthew Richard Grieger, was unharmed and did not seek medical care.
