Austin, TX – Pedestrian Collision on FM 969 Results in Fatality

Austin, TX ( July 11, 2023) – The Austin Police Department responded to a pedestrian and motor vehicle collision on Monday, July 10th, 2023, resulting in one fatality.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Victor Hunter.
The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. in the 6600 block of FM 969, just east of the Hwy. 183 intersection.

A pickup truck and a pedestrian were involved in the collision.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, the individual succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.

The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The exact sequence of events leading to the collision is still under investigation, and the authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fatal incident.
