Bangor, NY (July 10, 2020) – On Thursday morning, July 9th, authorities with the New York State Police responded to a serious two-vehicle accident in the town of Bangor. The crash was reported at around 10:14 a.m. on State Route 11.
According to troopers, 58-year-old Ricky L. Belile, of Moira, was heading westbound in a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban when he collided with the rear-end of a 2016 Nissan Altima. The driver of the Altima, identified as 73-year-old Susan Shea, of Constable, was attempting a left turn at the time of the crash.
The Suburban overturned onto its passenger side and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene a short time later. Both Shea and a passenger in the Suburban, identified as 52-year-old Christine Belile, of Moira, were transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. Both suffered possibly serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with both Susan Shea and Christine Belile and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
