Barry, MO (November 19, 2023) – A severe accident occurred on MO 76, four miles east of Cassville, on Friday, November 17, at 8:15 PM, resulting in serious injuries.
Sheridan L. Ponder, a 27-year-old male from Aurora, MO, was driving a 1989 Pontiac 6000 eastbound when the vehicle ran off the road and overturned. Ponder, who did not utilize a safety device, sustained injuries and opted to seek his own treatment.
Michael M. Corn, a 20-year-old male occupant from Cassville, MO, suffered serious injuries. He was not using a safety device at the time of the accident. Corn was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The Pontiac was totaled and towed by Brice’s Towing of Cassville. TPR. T. M. Royster of Troop D is investigating the crash to determine its cause.
