Batavia, NY – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries Reported on Route 63 near Stafford Townline Rd

Batavia, NY (July 16, 2023) – A two-vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the Town of Batavia on Friday morning, July 14.

The Town of Batavia Fire and Mercy Medic 1, as well as area police, were all requested to the scene of the accident at approximately 9:15 a.m.

According to reports provided by the police department, two vehicles collided on Route 63 in the area of Batavia Stafford Townline Road. One of the involved vehicles went off the roadway as a result of the accident. A second vehicle came to rest, blocking the southbound lane.

The Bethany Fire Police responded to provide additional assistance.

A total of eight people were injured in this accident. Three ambulances were requested to transport the victims to area hospitals. Seven of the eight victims were transported to United Memorial Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.

The incident is being investigated.
