Beltsville, MD (March 15, 2023) – The Maryland State Police has confirmed that 56-year-old Delandro Woody of New Jersey has died as a result of a multi-vehicle truck accident that took place on Tuesday in Prince Georges County.
At approximately 5:30 a.m. on March 14, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Prince George’s County.
Reports show that a Dodge charger was traveling south on Interstate 95 when it crashed into a Toyota in the area near Maryland state Route 212, powder Mill Road. The Dodge then became involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer that had overturned.
The driver of the Dodge charger suffered injuries and had to be transported to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for emergency care. Two people in the Toyota also suffered injuries and had to be transported to Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring for the treatment of injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Woody, was fatally injured.
The incident remains under investigation by the Maryland State Police Crash Team at this time.
