Bentonville, AR (October 18, 2024) – On Thursday afternoon, a vehicle struck the Haas Hall Academy building, injuring two individuals. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a vehicle collided with the southwest corner of the building.
Dr. Martin W. Schoppmeyer Jr., the superintendent and founder of Haas Hall Academy, reported that the scene was being cleaned up following the collision. He stated, “We have requested an inspection of the building and utilities this evening” to ensure safety and address any potential damage.
According to Cpl. Melissa Fox, a spokesperson for the Bentonville Police Department, the driver of the vehicle experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash. Emergency responders from the Bentonville Fire Department were also on the scene to assist.
“Our thoughts are with the passenger and driver as they are being treated for their injuries,” Schoppmeyer expressed in a social media post. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
