Bethlehem, NY (April 2, 2023) – A deadly two-car crash happened in Bethlehem on Tuesday afternoon, March 28. The incident occurred on River Road for reasons still under police investigation.
Reports show that Kim L. Kawai, 63, from Cohoes, was headed north on River Road when she was involved in a head-on collision with a southbound vehicle. That vehicle was driven by Suzette M. Langworthy, 59, of Selkirk. Dennis M. Charland, 66, also of Selkirk, was the front-seat passenger in Langworthy‘s vehicle.
All three people involved were treated by paramedics and transported to the Albany Medical Center. Charland succumbed to his injuries and passed away a short time after arriving at the hospital. Langworthy was admitted for further evaluation and treatment, according to reports.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
