Bethlehem, NY (May 13, 2023) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a plane crash that took place on Thursday afternoon, May 11.
Just before 345 p.m., the Bethlehem Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Old School Road.
Reports indicate that a single-engine Cessna airplane was involved in a crash just after taking off from the South Albany airport. The plane was left with significant damage as a result of the accident, which occurred approximately 100 feet from the runway.
The pilot and the two passengers on the plane were rushed to area hospitals for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
