Biloxi, MS (September 18, 2023) – A tragic high-speed crash early Saturday morning, September 16, 2023, claimed the life of an 18-year-old driver and left a passenger seriously injured.

Braden Charles Miller, driving at an alarming 147 mph, crashed between Biloxi River Bridge and Cowan-Lorraine Road Exit 38 at around 2:48 a.m.

Not wearing a seatbelt, Miller died on site due to the impact.

The vehicle, after hitting trees, shattered upon impact, Gulfport Police reported.

Another teen was flown to a hospital with severe injuries, while two others escaped major harm, confirmed Sgt. Jason DuCré.

The investigation is still ongoing.
