Boston, NY (July 15, 2023) – On Thursday, July 13, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a collision in Boston. The accident was reported just after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, according to reports.
First responders including EMTs, police, and firefighters were sent to render aid at the crash site shortly after it happened. Sources say the incident occurred near the intersection of Boston State Road and South Abbott Road near Herman Hill.
A police officer was responding to an unrelated call without his emergency lights on when he came across delayed traffic. A vehicle then collided with his cruiser for reasons under police investigation.
Both the police officer and the other driver, as well as one child were injured in the collision. Two victims were treated by paramedics at the crash scene before being transported to ECMC, while the child was taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
