Bound Brook, NJ (November 21, 2023) – A tragic incident on Monday, November 20, resulted in the death of a 66-year-old Plainfield man. He was struck by a vehicle near the Burger King on Union Ave (Route 28).
Police Chief Richard Colombaroni reported that at around 6:10 p.m., officers found the man in cardiac arrest in the westbound lane. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by officers and EMS, the man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is aiding the investigation. The Bound Brook Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team are investigating the accident. The identities of the victim and the driver have not yet been disclosed.
