Brentwood, CA (July 11, 2023) – On Monday, July 10, 2023, a fatal head-on car accident occurred in Brentwood, Contra Costa County.
The collision took place around 6:38 a.m. on Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol reported at least one fatality.
A silver Honda Fit, grey Mazda 3, and a dark grey Acura car collided.
All vehicles had deployed airbags, and one of them caught fire.
A bystander called 911 and attempted to extinguish the fire but was unsuccessful.
Tragically, two individuals were found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identities remain unknown, and it is unclear if others sustained injuries.
In response, authorities closed the roadway to investigate the Brentwood car accident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
