Brighton, NY (April 5, 2023) – At least one person was hurt in a motor vehicle accident that was reported in the town of Brighton. It happened along Interstate 590 on Tuesday afternoon, April 4th.
Officials say that the involved vehicles collided for undetermined reasons in the southbound lanes of the interstate after approaching Exit 2 to Route 31/Monroe Avenue. The force of the collision resulted in major damage, and emergency responders were promptly summoned to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews located the wounded occupants and immediately secured the area. Those who required extensive treatment were taken to nearby hospitals as needed. Their current conditions have not been verified at this time.
The events that caused the crash are actively under investigation.
