Bronx, NY (February 9, 2023) – A pedestrian was reportedly injured after being hit by a motor vehicle in the South Bronx. Authorities say that it happened on Thursday morning, February 9th, at approximately 2:08 a.m.
According to authorities, an unidentified pedestrian was walking in the area of 905 Eagle Avenue during the early morning hours. For reasons that have not been established, a motor vehicle that was traveling through the area collided with the pedestrian.
Either a nearby witness or a driver of the vehicle involved dialed 911, and dispatchers sent emergency responders to the scene. After arriving in the area, crews located the victim down in the roadway.
The injured pedestrian was assisted at the crash site before being transferred to a local hospital for additional care. Neither the identity of the victim nor the seriousness of their injuries has been verified.
Police investigators are conducting an inquiry into the events that caused this incident.
