Bronx, NY (March 23, 2023) – A 44-year-old man riding a motorcycle reportedly struck an elderly woman and a teenage girl, resulting in the death of the woman and injuries to the girl on Wednesday afternoon, March 22nd. The fatal collision was reported at the intersection of Pelham Parkway and Williamsbridge Road in the Bronx.
Authorities say that a man on a motorcycle struck a 72-year-old woman in the crosswalk at approximately 4:30 p.m. The impact of the collision caused the rider to veer onto the sidewalk, where he hit a 17-year-old girl who was walking nearby.
Emergency responders arrived in the area where they transported all three parties to a nearby hospital. The 72-year-old woman was pronounced deceased due to her injuries.
Both the operator of the motorcycle and the teen girl remain in stable condition at this time. No further information is available while the incident remains under investigation.
