Bronx, NY (September 19, 2023) – Christopher Vatran, a 27-year-old moped driver, tragically lost his life in an accident around 00:10 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

He was driving a 2023 Jiaju moped eastbound on Southern Boulevard.

The veteran failed to handle a curve, hitting a concrete barrier.

This impact ejected him from the moped.

EMS transported Vatran to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was declared dead.

No arrests have been made regarding the accident.

NYPD’s Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is examining the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
