Bronx, NY (November 20, 2022) – A man crashed into a city bus with his Mercedes in the Bronx on Thursday, November 17. After the bus crash, he was seen carjacking a Honda from a man and a child. He then smashed the Honda into a cyclist and then a tree, reports said.
The spree began at around 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, when the suspect, age 29, crashed into an MTA bus with his white Mercedes. The crash happened on Heath Avenue near West Kingsbridge Road in Kingsbridge Heights. It is believed he was being chased by a BMW at the time.
The suspect then ditched his Mercedes and fled to where a man and child were entering their parked gray Honda. Before they could get inside the vehicle, they were carjacked by the Mercedes driver.
Shortly thereafter, the man on the run crashed into a 47-year-old male cyclist, according to the NYPD. The cyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities in the Bronx continue to investigate the details of the accident.
