Bronx, NY – Multiple-Vehicle Wreck on Maj. Deegan Expressway near the Willis Avenue Bridge

Bronx, NY (July 15, 2023) – Just before 5:00 p.m. on July 13, emergency medical services responded to the scene of an accident in which at least one of the involved parties suffered injuries.

New York Police Department reports show that multiple vehicles collided and blocked several lanes of the Major Deegan Expressway. The accident caused traffic near the Willis Avenue bridge to come to a complete halt.

Emergency officials rushed to the scene and went to work immediately on the removal of damaged vehicles.

Injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Multiple medical personnel responded to the accident site to care for the victims and transport them to area hospitals.

NYPD is currently investigating the crash.
