Bronx, NY – Retaining Wall Collapses at Burke Ave & Bronx Park E, Worker Injured

Bronx, NY (July 12, 2023) – A construction site accident reported in the Williams Bridge area sent one person to an area hospital with injuries.

At around 4:05 p.m. on July 11, emergency officials were notified that a retaining wall collapsed on Burke Avenue near Bronx Park East. Authorities determined that a small retaining wall collapsed at the location, resulting in a worker falling from the scaffolding.

The worker suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
