Bronx, NY (January 29, 2023) – Injuries were reported as the result of a building fire in Soundview, Bronx on the afternoon of January 29. Shortly after 2:00 p.m., emergency responders were sent to the scene of the fire on Evergreen Avenue.
The incident was reported in the 1200 block of Evergreen Avenue. Heavy smoke and flames were seen rising from a building in the area.
Firefighters sent out a second alarm shortly after arriving at the scene concerning the fire. It occurred on the second floor of the two-story building.
Three fire hoses were used to douse the flames, according to information from reports. Three people sustained injuries, one serious, firefighters said. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Authorities in the Bronx are investigating the cause of the blaze. We hope for the full recovery of those with injuries.
