Bronx, NY – Toddler Burned by Illegal Fireworks on W 167th St in Highbridge

Bronx, NY (June 24, 2020) – While the city of New York has been cracking down of the illegal use of fireworks, a 3-year-old toddler was injured by some in the Bronx. The incident happened on Wednesday morning, June 24th, in the area of West 167th Street and Anderson Avenue in the Highbridge neighborhood.

According to officials with the New York Police Department, the child and his parents could see the fireworks from their apartment window when the toddler was struck by one just shortly after midnight.

The child was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening burns to his left arm. At this time, no arrests have been made.
