Bronx, NY (December 9, 2022) – Two people were left injured following a slip and fall accident at the target store located in Bronx early Thursday. At around 11:15 a.m., on December 8, the New York Police Department responded to the scene of an incident on Exterior Street.
According to law enforcement, a 16-year-old was attempting to shoplift and became involved in a scuffle with the security guard at the Target store located on Exterior Street near East 153rd Street. As a result, the team fell on top of the elevator and suffered injuries.
The guard fell between the elevator and the elevator shaft role, suffering serious injuries. Both victims were rushed to area hospitals for care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
