Bronx, NY (March 12, 2023) – On March 12, officers with the New York Police Department assisted area firefighters on-site and an automobile accident in the Melrose section of the Bronx.
According to officials, just after 4:15 p.m. a collision took place on 158th Street. The incident prompted officials to shut down the roadway near Melrose Avenue as they worked to clear the scene.
Emergency medical services were notified that they were needed of the scene to treat victims who suffered injuries. At least one person involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
The New York Police Department has initiated an investigation to determine what caused the accident to take place.
