Brooklyn, NY (March 1, 2023) – In the east Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, authorities reported an auto-pedestrian collision that left the victim injured. It happened at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 1st.
Reports show that an unidentified person was traveling on foot at or near the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Cortelyou Road when a motor vehicle entered the junction. For reasons that are under investigation, the vehicle collided with the pedestrian and subsequently knocked the victim to the ground.
After receiving calls concerning the collision, dispatchers sent emergency crews to the area to provide assistance. First responders arrived at the scene, including paramedics who worked to evaluate the condition of the victim.
The pedestrian reportedly sustained various injuries, but whether or not they were hospitalized is yet to be reported. Updates will be provided once they are made available by law enforcement.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
