Brooklyn, NY (May 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal crash that occurred in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on May 19. At approximately 12:49 p.m., emergency responders were sent to the crash scene on South 5th Avenue.
Sources report the wreck took place on South 5th Avenue near Kent Avenue. Authorities required help directing traffic at the scene, near South 5th Street and Keap Street.
Authorities confirmed one person was struck by a vehicle at the scene. Police are currently searching for a person in a Honda CRV who may have intentionally struck the victim.
The pedestrian who was hit by the Honda was fatally injured. They lost their life a short time after arriving at the hospital. Police found the Honda CRV abandoned near the crash site.
