Brooklyn, NY (September 13, 2023) – A 66-year-old woman died after a pickup truck hit her while she pushed her 2-year-old granddaughter in a stroller on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

The incident took place at 1:10 p.m. in Bath Beach. The woman was crossing 25th Avenue.

A Dodge Ram turning onto Bath Avenue struck her, authorities reported.

She sustained severe head injuries and was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where she succumbed.

The toddler, suffering minor injuries, was admitted to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.

The 56-year-old truck driver remained at the scene. His legal status and sobriety tests are pending.

The investigation is still ongoing.
