Brooklyn, NY (October 15, 2020) – A fire incident reported in the Clinton Hill area left one person injured on Wednesday evening. Just before 11:30 p.m., on October 14, the New York Fire Department was requested at the site of a fire incident on Washington Avenue.
Reports show that a fire broke out in the apartment located at 148 Washington Avenue for unknown reasons. The fire broke out on the third floor of the building, trapping residents inside the structure. Crews battled the blaze for approximately 25-minutes before declaring the incident under control.
One person inside the building was recovered. The victim was seriously injured. EMS staged the area and was able to provide treatment at the scene before transporting the injured resident to a nearby hospital. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
