Brooklyn, NY (March 24, 2023) – A total of five people were hospitalized due to injuries they suffered in a fire that broke out on Friday morning, March 24th. It happened at around 11:41 a.m. in the East New York area of Brooklyn.
According to official reports, flames broke out on the top floor of an apartment building located at 494 Hendrix Street for unknown reasons. Emergency crews arrived a short time later to search for any trapped civilians and extinguish the fire.
At least three ambulances were requested at the scene, and five people were taken to local medical centers. There are no details available on the current conditions of the victims, but all injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening.
At this time, police investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. Updates will be provided once they are made available to the public.
