Brooklyn, NY (February 24, 2023) – A reported traffic accident on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway left at least one person hospitalized on Friday morning, February 24th. The crash happened in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn at around 8:00 a.m.
Local authorities say that two or more vehicles collided along the Expressway after entering the area near Exit 26 at the same time. The force of the collision resulted in major damage to the involved vehicles, and emergency responders were summoned to the scene to assist the victims and assess the damage.
The Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at Exit 26 was closed down while crews worked at the scene to secure the area and clear the debris. EMTs transported all wounded parties to nearby medical centers to undergo emergency treatment.
Law enforcement officials have not provided any information on the exact conditions of those involved. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
