Brooklyn, NY (November 20, 2022) – Firefighters responded to the scene of an apartment fire in Brooklyn on the morning of November 20. The incident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. 

Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames at 250 Madison Street between Nostrand Avenue and Marcy Avenue. Crews search the premises upon arrival. While doing so, they found one individual who had sustained serious fire-related injuries in the blaze. EMS was sent to the scene to evaluate and treat the injured person. 

An all-hands alert was activated by fire crews in order to contain the flames. Firefighters confirmed the starting point of the initial fire was on the second floor of the apartment building.
